Every title on that list was built, not given. For more than two decades, Takara Nicole has done one thing in every room she has ever worked in: help people move from where they are to where they are called to be.
Transformation Has Always Been the Work
It started with braids.
In 2004, Takara picked up her first clients as a braider. No title, no license, just skilled hands and a chair. But the braids came with conversations, and the conversations taught her what no classroom could: people do not just want to look different, they want to become different. She would go on to earn her license as a master cosmetologist, but the lesson came first. Transformation was the real service, and she has been delivering it ever since.
Then it moved into the community.
Serving with the Harford County Office of Drug Control Policy and on the Harford County Youth Commission Board, Takara learned how systems shape lives, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Non-Profit, Public and Organizational Management from the University of Baltimore. Strategy stopped being instinct and became a discipline.
The chair became a clinic.
As a triple-certified trichologist, Takara took the beauty work deeper, from styling hair to restoring it. Through The Healthy Hair Studio and Restored Crown Hair Restoration Clinic, she serves clients whose crowns carry stories, proving that restoration is both an art and a science.
Vision needed structure.
Watching gifted leaders stay stuck turned Takara into an execution coach. As Director of Transform Now Coaching & Consulting, she helps entrepreneurs, pastors, coaches, and organizations turn vision into aligned action through clarity, systems, and disciplined execution. Faith plus strategy equals results.
The calling would not be ignored.
Takara answered the call to ministry and founded Life at The Well Ministries in Aberdeen, Maryland, where she serves as Senior Pastor. At The Well, purpose is birthed, people are restored, and faith gets put to work.
The message became a book.
In Get This Baby Out of Me: The Journey from Conception to Delivery of Your Purpose, Takara puts the whole framework on paper, walking readers from the moment purpose is conceived to the day it is delivered. Because a vision carried too long without delivery will exhaust the one carrying it.
